7. Go back to profile/Default one last time.
8. Delete the files named Preferences and Secure Preferences.

Erase leftovers:

1. Tap Win+R to access RUN.
2. Enter regedit.exe into the dialog box to launch Registry Editor.
3. Move to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Google\Chrome\Extensions\ (or HKLM\SOFTWARE\Google\Chrome\Extensions\).
