Do you want to turn your computer into an amazing TV and Radio station? Perhaps you think that Tv-Plug-In is the program that can help you with that, but we would like you to stop and give it a second thought. Naturally, the program does seem to work, but the functionality of the application may come at a cost, and that cost is your data security. Therefore, if you did not intend to keep this application on your computer, the best you can do right now is remove Tv-Plug-In for good, before this situation goes out of hand and you get exposed to severe computer security threats.
Some users may find it confusing that we urge them to remove programs that are not genuine computer security threats. That is because there is a category of applications that are very vulnerable to third-party exploitation. Although they do not try to destroy a system or steal money themselves, due to their vulnerability, they could be used as malware distributors or a medium for corrupted content promotion. The same can be applied to Tv-Plug-In, as well. This program does show you various TV channels, but you also have to get through advertisements that are often more than misleading.
For example, when you download the application and install it on your computer, a new program window pops up, offering you to choose from a list of TV stations. When you choose a channel to watch, the screen that is supposed to show the view is blocked by an advertisement. In our case, the advertisement said that the content cannot be displayed because we are not logged in. Clicking Log In opened the rev2pub.adk2x.com website, and the browser indicated it as “unsafe.” The website was supposedly reported for “containing a threat to your computer that might reveal personal or financial information.” What’s more, clicking the Sign Up button leads you to yet another website where you have to enter your email address to sign up (for something). The email address is not enough; the site also asks you to provide your credit card information although it says that “your credit card will NOT be charged for validating your account.” What is the point of providing the information then? It is definitely fishy, and that is just one of the ads that you encounter via Tv-Plug-In.
Now, as to whether this application can really give you access to more than a thousand TV stations and five thousand radio stations, is already another question. You have to stop and think how this program was installed on your computer. Did you download it from tv-plug-in.com? Did you not notice how it appeared on your system? If the latter is the case, then you probably downloaded the application bundled with freeware from some file-sharing website. As a result, you are very likely to have several other unwanted programs running on your PC.
How to terminate them all? Scan your system with a powerful antispyware tool that will detect all the potential threats and help you delete them. You can also uninstall Tv-Plug-In via Control Panel, but that will also remove this one program. Do everything it takes to protect your computer and your personal data from malicious exploitation.
