Are you looking for a tool that would make it easier for you to find movie-related information? If you are, might be one of the programs you look into installing. It is not a malicious infection, and you might be able to use it safely, but our research team does not recommend using it. In fact, we recommend removing it. If you have installed this add-on already, you should read this report to learn more about it, and it is possible that you will change your mind. If you have already made the decision, and you are sure you want to delete, you can find a guide right below the article. Just keep in mind that this PUP (or potentially unwanted program) might not be the only suspicious extension or program active on your operating system. Before you do anything else, we advise installing a trusted anti-malware tool to inspect your PC. If anything else besides the PUP is found, check it out to see if it is not extremely malicious.

You might have downloaded from its official download site if you are using Firefox, or from if you are using Google Chrome. These are the only browsers the suspicious extension is compatible with. Despite these sources existing, third-party installers could promote the PUP as well, and since it offers relatively attractive services, it could be used to lure users into executing a malicious software bundle. If malware slithers into your system along with the PUP, you have much bigger problems to deal with, but if the suspicious extension is the only questionable piece, you still need to worry about it. Why is that so? Although it is promoted as a tool that can help you find information about movies, our research team warns that it might have been created for a few different reasons. First and foremost, once this PUP is installed, tracking tools are installed as well to spy on you. If you are not happy about this, you should remove without further hesitation.

If you have downloaded willingly, you should understand that it works via your default search provider. To find data on the movie you are interested in, you need to type “movie” into the address bar, hit the Space bar, and then enter the name of that movie. If you do this, you are automatically rerouted to, but the page you are shown has the Movie Quest logo on it, and that is another potentially unwanted program whose removal we have already discussed in a previous article. If you do not use the search feature in this specific manner, the PUP redirects you to Yahoo Search, and if this is your default search provider originally, you might not notice the change. Unfortunately, it is believed that the PUP’s creator redirects to this well-known search engine to introduce you to sponsored links that, for all you know, could be misleading or even malicious. That is the number one reason we recommend removing the extension.

Can you delete an undesirable extension? Of course, you can, even if you have never done that before. The guide you can find below shows how to remove add-on from both browsers, and, as you can see, not many steps are required. That being said, not everyone will be able to stick with manual removal due to the existence of other threats or PUPs. Do any exist? A legitimate malware scanner is the best tool to determine that. It is crucial that you identify the threats that are active, especially if you consider eliminating them manually. Our research team is working hard to analyze and review all recent infections, and, hopefully, you can find the guides you need on this website. If you are not interested in spending your time doing this, you can install anti-malware software. In fact, this is the better option. Not only will you have all threats and PUPs deleted, your operating system will be protected too.
