It is high time we discuss yet another adware application, this one here called Shopsafer. It is highly recommended that you remove this program from your computer, because it can put your system's security in great jeopardy, because the content it promotes oftentimes of unknown origin. Of course, the application itself is rather harmless. However, it can gather information about your online activities without your knowledge or approval. If you have this application installed on your computer, we encourage you to delete it as soon as possible, because there is no telling what might happen if you click the wrong advertisement.

You can get your computer infected with Shopsafer if you go directly to its website at Shopsafer.com and boldly click the download button. There is no information whether this program is being distributed using other means, such as freeware bundles. So, at present, we recommend that you stay clear of its website. But, if you have already installed this application, we encourage you to remove it by consulting our manual removal guide at the end of this article.

Shopsafer is advertised as an application that recognizes the product you are looking for. It is said that the application is connected with thousands of online shopping websites and is able to find the cheapest product and notify you immediately. The application displays its so-called findings and other advertisements as pop-ups and coupons, though it does not seem likely that the application is connected to thousands of online shops. We are of the opinion that that is a mere marketing trick to attract more users. Our researchers recommend that you remove Shopsafer, because the legitimacy of the promoted content cannot be verified. For all we know, any advertisement might infect your computer with malicious applications.

The application is developed in such a way that it does not need to rely on browser extensions. If you go to your browser’s extensions list, you will not find Shopsafer on it. That is because the application has been modeled as an executable application. If you go to the Task Manager, you will find a process called shopsafer.exe, which is the executable that is generating all of those advertisements.

We hope that this article was of use to you and that you are now ready to take action. Feel free to use the instructions we have prepared to remove Shopsafer from your computer. Remember that this application is not the kind you would like to keep, since it gathers information about the user and displays commercial advertisements based on your browsing habits. Note that you can also use an anti-malware scanner that will remove the infection for you.
