If your homepage, New Tab page, or default search provider were corrupted by Search.hfreeforms.co, it is possible that other threats have slithered in as well. That is something we need to consider because the hijacker usually comes attached to the “Free Forms” add-on that has an official installer. If this installer is not used, that means that the hijacker might be spread by malicious installers, and those could represent malware bundles. Is your operating system corrupted by malware? We recommend trusting a legitimate malware scanner to figure this out. We hope that other threats are not found, or that if they are found, they are not incredibly complicated or malicious. Needless to say, you need to remove every single threat detected by a legitimate malware scanner. That includes deleting Search.hfreeforms.co.

As you might have found out yourself, Search.hfreeforms.co was created by Polarity Technologies Ltd. It is also the creator of Search.searchgetlnn.com, Search.hfreeliveradio.co, and many other hijackers. Although they promise different things – for example, Search.hfreeliveradio.co promises free radio streaming – they all function in the same way. One of the things that these hijackers have in common is that they are always represented by extensions (with a few exceptions). Search.hfreeforms.co is linked to the extension called “Free Forms,” and it is represented at freeforms.co/Forms. Chrome users can install it from chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/free-forms/colmaagjnfomhelmhcbbliajjoagkjmk at the Chrome web store. Even though it is better to install extensions and hijackers via official sources rather than unfamiliar installers, we do not recommend installing them at all.

It would not be fair to state that the “Free Forms” extension is completely useless because it can provide you with links to some forms via Search.hfreeforms.co. The thing is that this hijacker simply places links to these forms, and that is not a highly useful service. The IRS forms that are offered can be easily accessed by visiting irs.gov. What about other easy-access links? Search.hfreeforms.co offers links to Amazon, Gmail, Yahoo Mail, and Youtube, but that is done only to attract users and make them believe that the services are trustworthy. The same is done with the search engine that the hijacker offers. The search dialog box does not look suspicious, but when you enter keywords, you are automatically redirected to a third-party search engine, Yahoo search. This well-known engine is employed only to make unauthorized redirecting look harmless. The reality is that the threat can modify the search results to introduce you to sponsored links, and that is why we suggest removing the hijacker.

Are you aware of the fact that Search.hfreeforms.co employs tracking cookies? Cookies are employed by most virtual services, and so that is not incredibly strange. However, the cookies used by this hijacker could record private information, and that is not something all data trackers are capable of. Is this something to be worried about? Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that your private data is safe. In fact, there is a risk that it could be collected and leaked to parties whose intentions are unknown. Due to this, we have also added instructions explaining how you can eliminate data trackers. Do you have more questions that you need answered before you decide to remove Search.hfreeforms.co? If that is the case, use the comments section below. We will try to respond as soon as possible.

Since Search.hfreeforms.co is unlikely to corrupt more than one browser at a time, it is unlikely that you will have to spend a lot of time deleting this browser hijacker. Obviously, if other threats are running on your PC, getting your operating system cleaned could be time-consuming. That, of course, is not the only reason to use anti-malware software. Although it is great at automatically eliminating all infections, it is most useful when it comes to the protection of your operating system. Do you want to make sure that other hijackers and other kinds of malware cannot slither into it? If you do, you need to employ anti-malware software without further delay.
