Windows 8:

Note: you may be prompted with an alert asking: “Do you want to restore your previous browser settings (search engine/homepage – if any)?” Click Yes.

Remove (browsers)

Internet Explorer:

  1. Launch the browser and simultaneously tap Alt+T (Tools menu).
  2. Select Manage Add-ons and click on Search Providers from the menu on the left.
  3. Click on the preferred browser and select Set as Default.
  4. Select and click Remove. Hit Close.
  5. Go back to the Tools menu and click on Internet Options.
  6. Under the General tab, overwrite with a preferred Home Page. Click OK.

Google Chrome:

  1. Launch the browser an open the menu (tap Alt+F).
  2. Click on Settings and navigate to On startup.
  3. Select “Open a specific page or set of pages” and click Set Pages.
  4. Click “x” on, Add a new page and click OK.
  5. Now move to Appearance, select “Show Home button” and click Change.
  6. Overwrite and OK.
  7. Under Search click on Manage search engines.
  8. Select Make default on another search engine, and click “x” on the unwanted one. Click OK.

Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Launch the browser and simultaneously tap Alt+H.
  2. From the Help menu click on Troubleshooting Information.
  3. Click on the Reset Firefox button.
  4. Confirm the selection, let Firefox to import data and then click Finish.

Note: when researching FBDownloader it has been discovered that Mozilla Firefox browser settings are not reconfigured after you download the program. However, if you have faced different activity – follow the provided steps.
