QuickFlightTracker Toolbar might look like a useful tool, but keep it in mind it is a PUP (potentially unwanted program). While such applications are not considered to be malicious, they cannot be regarded as trustworthy either. For instance, in this case, our specialists report the extension could encourage users to search the Internet with a tool that could show them results injected with annoying or even possibly dangerous advertisements. Because of this we would not advise keeping QuickFlightTracker Toolbar on your browser. If you choose to erase it, you could use the deletion instructions located below or a reliable security tool of your preference. Users who have more questions about the PUP can also leave us messages at the end of the article.

Some users could download QuickFlightTracker Toolbar from its homepage (quickflighttracker.com), while others might encounter it while visiting various file-sharing web pages or other doubtful sites. The reason we think it is possible is the application comes from an unknown developer known as Mindspark. Our specialists have encountered lots of other PUPs and browser hijackers distributed by this company, which signals it cannot be considered reliable. Many of the similar PUPs we came across before were spread with pop-up ads, bundled installation files, etc. Thus, to keep the system clean and protect it from doubtful tools alike we would recommend staying away from torrent and similar file-sharing web pages. Besides, users should always be careful when seeing pop-ups, banners, or sponsored links suggesting unknown freeware tools. First, it would be better to investigate the program to make sure it is trustworthy.

QuickFlightTracker Toolbar should not change user’s default search engine or homepage, but it might alter user’s new tab page. To be more accurate, after the PUP settles in, the affected browser starts loading a different web page when a new tab is created, for example, if your browser used to load google.com on your new tab, now it should open myway.com. The difference might seem insignificant as the application’s search engine may look like any other, but sadly, in reality, it could be unreliable. According to our specialists, QuickFlightTracker Toolbar's search tool might show modified search results, which means there could be additional advertising material from different third parties. The ads may not be harmful, but some of them could promote similar PUPs, scam websites, and so on. Even if the chances are small, we do not think it would be wise to keep using the application. It provides quite a lot of links, but you can bookmark them all instead of using the software’s toolbar. As for the searching for flight updates feature, you could easily find such information by visiting the airline's in question website or simply inserting flight information into google.com.

The choice is yours if you want to leave QuickFlightTracker Toolbar on your system and if you decide you do not want to use it anymore, you can erase it with the deletion instructions located below. Since the PUP is currently compatible with three browsers (Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Internet Explorer), the given instructions will show how to remove it from such browsers only. As a second option, we could suggest using a reliable security tool that would be able to remove the unwanted application.
