Have you bought a new device or gadget, but the manual is missing? If you are in a situation like that, ProductManualsPro Toolbar might seem like the perfect addition to the browser. This extension claims to be capable of finding “pdf reference manuals” and also providing users with a unique web search tool. Since this tool is free, people might think that installing it is not a big deal. In fact, users must be careful whenever they install anything new, and that includes extensions, applications, software updates, etc. If you take a few minutes to research the thing you want to install, you might save yourself from unwanted programs and even malicious infections. On the other hand, if you perform installation without much care, you might end up having to remove threats. Hopefully, you do not need to worry about that, and you can focus on deleting ProductManualsPro Toolbar. At the time of research, only the users of Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome browsers had to deal with that.

Officially, ProductManualsPro Toolbar is introduced at productmanualspro.com, and Chrome installers can find it at chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/productmanualspro/lfcehpcmpmhfelfbkmkgjnolebgaelih. The installer of the potentially unwanted program (PUP) should not have any additional apps or add-ons attached to it. Of course, if you use a bundled downloader found on a suspicious file-sharing website, it is possible that ProductManualsPro Toolbar could come bundled with more serious threats. That being said, you must not underestimate the PUP itself. It is very similar to WatchMyTVShows Toolbar, MyFileConvert Toolbar, PackageTracking Toolbar, and tons of other extensions that were created by Ask Applications, also known as Mindspark Interactive. This is why malware scanners and removal tools often identify them as Mindspark Toolbars. They usually hijack the New Tab page on the browser they are installed on, and while they can display different easy-access links to third-party sites that fit a theme (in this case, it is a search engine for manuals), they always present the same search tool.

If you have installed ProductManualsPro Toolbar, your New Tab page must have been changed, and in the middle of the interface, you must see a search dialog box. If you type keywords into it, you are unlikely to find manuals. That is because the toolbar redirects to search.myway.com and shows its own search results. If you are looking for manuals, you have to use the ‘Manuals Search’ and ‘Browse Manuals’ tools right below the search dialog box. If you use the search tool introduced by ProductManualsPro Toolbar, you are likely to face advertisements and sponsored links. The PUP employs data-tracking technologies to collect information about you and your browsing activities. This includes your browsing history. Using the data that is gathered, the involved parties can personalize the content you face, but this is likely to be used to boost marketing potential rather than enhance your own experience. So, if you do have the need for tons of manuals, if you do not like having your virtual activity tracked, and if you are not comfortable with a suspicious search engine, this is the time to decide whether or not to remove the PUP.

If you know how to use your browser, removing ProductManualsPro Toolbar should be easy for you. Of course, if you need to delete the PUP from a different browser, let us know, and we will add the removal instructions that you need. For now, it seems that the PUP is only compatible with Firefox and Chrome web browsers. Hopefully, that is all that you need to figure out how to do, but if you employed a trusted malware scanner, and it detected other threats running along with ProductManualsPro Toolbar, you have to think about them too. While you might be able to eliminate them manually, one by one, remember that you can also have them all deleted at the same time automatically, with the help of legitimate anti-malware software. We also recommend installing it for the full-time protection it can ensure. If you want to discuss anything else, make sure that you post your questions in the comments form.
