Who would not want to improve her computer performance? PCBooster is a system optimization tool that comes forth and promises to speed up your computer at once. However, our security experts say that it is not a good idea to download and run PCBooster daily. It is a potentially unwanted program that might be associated with financial frauds and other unreliable applications. If you happen to encounter a combination of those, there is a good chance that you will get infected with malware. Therefore, by removing PCBooster, you will make it sure that your computer remains protected and safe.

It is often hard to differentiate between reliable and potentially harmful applications. This is applicable to PCBooster as well. The program has an official website via pcboostertool.com, and the website makes it look like the program is very user-friendly and that it certainly lives up to its promises. The website claims that with PCBooster you can “clean PC in a matter of minutes.” There are always files that slow down your system performance, especially if you often install and uninstall various programs. So PCBooster offers you to “clean PC from unneeded files, system junk and application leftovers.” It also says that the application is “easy to use yet full-featured Windows Maintenance and Cleaning solution to clean PC.”

It also shows that at least 222,233 users have liked PCBooster’s page on Facebook, but that is no indicator that you should trust this application. Sure enough, it is possible to download the program from the official website, but we believe it is far more common for unsuspecting users to download this application in software packages. If that is the case, then it is obvious that PCBooster is not the only unwanted program on your computer, and you definitely have to run a full system scan with the SpyHunter free scanner to determine what programs should be removed from your PC at once.

The problem with PCBooster is that when you run a full system scan with this application, it offers to fix a number of registry errors found. The question is whether the registry errors are really there. However, even if you do click the Fix Errors button, instead of the actual fix, this application displays a pop-up that urges you to call a tech hotline number a 1-860-269-6829. It is questionable whether the number is reliable. Not to mention that you can never know how much you will be charged for calling the given contact. On top of that, there is a good chance that PCBooster will swindle you out of your money while there are no real errors to fix.

We believe that there is no need to keep this application on your computer anymore. What’s more, if you did not plan to have PCBooster installed, you certainly should not suffer this annoying program. Please uninstall PCBooster from your computer immediately, and then invest in a legitimate antispyware application that will take care of your PC’s security a lot better than this potentially unwanted program.
