There are times when software that supposedly comes with additional browser extensions in reality has nothing to do with them. This is exactly the case of Mixmeister Toolbar. One would think that it is developed by the same company which creates Mixmeister DJ Mixing software. However, if you try downloading the software from the official website at mixmeister.com, no additional browser plugins will be installed on your computer. Based on user reports on the Internet, Mixmeister DJ Mixing software is bundled with additional freeware only when you download it from third-party hosting websites.

So there is no such thing as Mixmeister Toolbar per se, you can simply get some additional browser extension installed if you choose an insecure website to download Mixmeister DJ Mixing software from. So far, it has been reported that "Mixmeister Toolbar" changes default home page settings to search.conduit.com. It shows that the toolbar in question could be any browser extension developed by Conduit, including Iminent Community Toolbar, WiseConvert Toolbar, Appbario Toolbar and so on. What is more, some of the Mixmeister DJ Mixing installation files come bundled with Blekko Search Toolbar. In such a case, you can choose whether you want to install the toolbar or not, because Blekko Search is a legitimate product.

Mixmeister Toolbar is not a computer infection - most of the toolbars that come bundled with Mixmeister DJ Mixing software are very far from being computer viruses. However, considering the fact that they are included into the installation file that easily, one cannot rule out possible future complications.
