If you ever encounter a program entitled Ghostify we highly advise you to avoid it at all times. It is important to note that this application is advertised as a useful tool that should help you access online content that is restricted in your geographical location. While it might sound like a handy program to have you should know that, in reality, it functions rather poorly. In fact, our research team has classified it as one more potentially unwanted program that you should remove if it is found active on your operating system. That is so because it exhibits quite a few questionable features. To find out how this dubious program functions and where it comes from, make sure to read the rest of our report. In addition to such information, we present a comprehensive removal guide that will help you completely delete Ghostify without encountering any problems.

The first major reason our malware experts have classified Ghostify as a potentially unwanted program is the fact that its installation procedure is quite intrusive. As it turns out during the setup procedure, you are not presented with an opportunity to chose the components of this application that you want or do not want to install. What is even more suspicious about all of this is the fact that your system will be silently implemented with an extra application that is probably used to provide updates for Ghostify. Additionally, it silently installs a third-party extension to the Google Chrome web browser, which will likely be used to present you with third-party web content. This can happen since the dubious plug-in might be able to contact adware servers in a silent manner. It should be quite obvious that undesirable ads, pop-ups, and coupons coming for such a server can make surfing the web a troublesome task, to put it lightly. It is also important to highlight the fact that right after this dubious program is fully installed on your computer your default TCP/IP settings with DNS address will be altered without any notification or authorization. These changes should help you gain access to online content that is restricted in your geographical way. Unfortunately, it does not function in the best way possible because, in reality, it rarely presents you with an actual ability to stream restricted content. It goes without saying that there are no good reasons to have Ghostify fully active on your personal computer. To get rid of it entirely, make sure to use the instructions that we present below.

Dubious distribution of Ghostify is another reason our research team has categorized it as a potentially unwanted program. As it turns the official website of this dubious application does not host a direct download link. This means that the program in question is usually spread in a suspicious way. As it turns out it is mostly distributed via bundled installers, which are quite often used by malware developers to spread their devious products. Thus, if you already have this suspicious program active on your PC, we highly advise you to conduct an in-depth analysis of your personal computer for other questionable applications. If you find any make sure to remove them along with Ghostify. To keep your computer safe and secure at all times, you malware experts highly advise you to install a professional antimalware tool if you do not have one already. Such a tool is crucial as it can detect potentially dangerous content on your PC or online and warn you about it in advance.

The complete removal of Ghostify consists of multiple steps. It is important to execute the whole process with care since a missed or a skipped step could result in an incomplete removal of this potentially unwanted program. This could have detrimental outcomes. For instance, leftovers of Ghostify could be enough for it to function. In other situations, traces could be employed to silently restore this potentially unwanted program. Your best bet to be sure that every single bit linked to Ghostify has been removed from your PC is by scanning your personal computer with a reliable antimalware tool since it can detect and delete anything associated with it in an automated manner.
