FLV Blaster is supposed to be a video download manager set to download videos from websites such as Youtube.com, Metacafe.com, and so on. However, after testing this program we suggest that you remove it, because it is not good at all. Based on our classification criteria we have categorized FLV Blaster as a potentially unwanted program, which means that it is not dangerous, but does not do anything useful either. So if you have downloaded this program, then you might want to get rid of it and get yourself a more reliable program for the job.

FLV Blaster is just like any video download manager you can get after performing a quick search, but it has certain issues that make it unreliable. Our research has shown that after installing this program it may also secretly install other unreliable programs, such as Findwide Toolbar and adware programs from the Multiplug adware family, such as AllDaySale, Nexusbooser, and so on. After you install FLV Blaster, you may also install its browser plug-in for Google Chrome, Microsoft Internet Explorer, and Mozilla Firefox. We fear that the plug-in may display commercial advertisements, but we did not see any while testing. Furthermore, the plug-in for Firefox only works on older versions of this browser, so if you are using a version from 40.0.3 and up, then it will not work. Additional shady programs are something that you should worry about the most, but there is another factor that comes in to the equation.

This program failed to download any video. During the research we attempted to download a 4 minute long video from YouTube. The timer started to count, but the video did not start downloading. After a few seconds FLV Blaster simply cashed. We repeated the test 3 times and got the same result. Our test has shown that this program can be unstable and if you are experiencing the same issue with it, then rest assured that the problem lies in the program itself and is not due to compatibility issues with your computer.

As far as we know, FLV Blaster is currently being distributed on its dedicated download website at Flvblaster.com. However, most people get it from software hosting websites, such as Software.informer.com and Cnet.com. The aforementioned websites are bound to host shady software, so you should only download software that you know to be legitimate from these sources. We have not received any reports of this program being bundled with other software, which is very good new indeed, but as you can see, it has no shortage of dissemination methods already.

If you have this program currently installed on your computer and you want to remove it, then take a look at our removal instructions below. There is no reason to keep FLV Blaster even though it is not malicious. But it can get real malware on your computer and it is likely to crash once you start downloading a video. We hope that the provided information was useful and that you are now ready to make a decision.
