When this program gets into a target computer, it affects all main browsers, except for Edge. It does not matter much at the moment because currently, the Edge browser takes just a little bit more than 4% of the Desktop browser version market share. With Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Firefox taking up the biggest share of the pie, Excellentsearch.org can surely affect a lot of users if the hijacker manages to enter their computers. So it would be for the best to avoid this infection altogether. To avoid the hijacker, you need to know how to it spreads around.

Excellentsearch.org employs the same market tactics as most of the other browser hijackers. Rather than spreading from a direct source, the infection gets distributed in software packages. This means that users download and install this browser hijacker willingly. It is very likely that they are not aware of the fact because the hijacker comes bundled with additional freeware applications. Perhaps users have been planning to download a particular program, and the hijacker just happened to be bundled with it. So with that, we can see that downloading bundled software is not safe, and you should refrain from doing that. Bundled software applications are often available at third-party file-sharing websites. If you download programs from their official sources, you should be able to avoid Excellentsearch.org and other similar threats.

However, what if the hijacker is already installed on your computer? Well, you should take note of the fact that with Excellentsearch.org on-board, it is very likely that you have many other unwanted applications installed, too. It could be that this browser hijacker is the most visible intruder, and the others could be hiding from your sight. To determine, how many unwanted applications you have on your computer, you should run a full system scan with the SpyHunter free scanner. This way, you will definitely know which applications and files you have to delete for good.

Now, what about Excellentsearch.org? Can it serve as a decent search provider? Not really. It employs a custom version of the Google search engine, and it is clear that the browser hijacker can collect information on your web browsing habits. The more this program knows about you, the more custom content it can launch at you, making sure you click the outgoing commercial links. Most of the links will lead to various affiliated websites, but some of them could redirect you to malware-related websites, and that could result in a computer security disaster. So remove Excellentsearch.org before any of that happens, and then make sure you protect your PC from similar intruders in the future.
