Coupondo is an advertisement-supported program that conceals itself as a useful coupon provider. The official website, coupondo.ru, introduces the so-called top stores, top offers, and new offers that you are likely to be attracted to. The website suggests picking the offer you are interested in, copying the promo code provided, and then applying it before checkout. This all seems straightforward and beneficial; however, our malware researchers are not entirely sure that the services of Coupondo can be trusted. First of all, there is very little information about the services provided, and that can be a reason to remove this adware from your operating system. Has it invaded your operating system? If it has, we will help you delete Coupondo.

The distribution of Coupondo is very strange and mysterious. It is unlikely that the installer of this adware will be distributed via coupondo.ru. This website promotes coupons, not software; however, there is a possibility that Coupondo will be infiltrated when you interact with the content, installers introduced via the websites linked to the offers provided. All in all, it is most likely that you will find this adware bundled with third-party software. Unfortunately, software bundles might promote malware, and, if you let it in, you will have to remove it as well. The problem is that sometimes computer users do not know they need to remove Coupondo adware let alone other infections. Due to this, we advise using a malware scanner to examine your operating system and see if you need to delete malicious computer threats.

According to our research, Coupondo usually works on Firefox and Chrome browsers. Although it is unlikely to be installed as a browser extension, you might find it in the %LOCALAPPDATA%\coupondo directory. The files in this folder are likely to control communications with remote adware servers, which means that ads will continue flooding the pages you visit until you remove these files. Another thing we have found is that Coupondo automatically starts when Windows is launched. You might be able to temporarily disable this adware by terminating its processes via the Task Manager; however, ultimately, you need to target the files. Once you delete them, you will not need to worry about potentially misleading pop-ups and banner ads showing up on every webpage that you visit.

As you might have figured out yourself, you cannot uninstall Coupondo via Control Panel. It is unlikely that you will find browser extensions either. We propose a removal guide that will help you delete Coupondo straight from its directory. If you find that you cannot delete files, you might need to terminate some processes first. We have included this step as well. You can also deal with the removal of Coupondo using automated malware detection and removal software. We recommend employing this software if your operating system is infected with other malicious threats. Also, you should install it if you wish to protect your operating system from malware in the future. If you have any concerns, use the comments section below to contact us.
