If you find CercaVoli on your system, you should know that this software does not work anymore and thus it is a totally worthless application on your computer. Although it is possible that you installed this program knowingly as you wanted a tool to find good flight deals, it is more likely that you downloaded it in a free software bundle. This could mean that there are a couple of malicious threats apart from this potentially unwanted program (PUP) on your PC. If you want to keep your system clean and secure, we suggest that your remove CercaVoli right now along with all other related and unrelated infections. Please continue reading our report to find out more about this PUP and how you can protect your system against further attacks.

Just like most PUPs, this one also has an official website, dealflightsfinder.com, but maybe we should say it “had.” As a matter of fact, this URL seems to be out of service, which could mean that the authors of this program just “packed up and left” and that does not seem to promising. In fact, this is rather suspicious when it comes to reliability or usefulness. But there is more. We have found that this software can also be downloaded from quasimercantileinsecticidally.site/DealFlightsFinder/v1/SetupCercaVoli.exe; however, if your PC has proper and updated defense, such as an anti-malware program, you may find yourself on a warning page before reaching this link. This warning page says that “The site ahead contains harmful programs” and in more detail, “Attackers on quasimercantileinsecticidally.site might attempt to trick you into installing programs that harm your browsing experience.” Well, this definitely does not sound good at all and should make you want to delete CercaVoli right away if you already have it on board.

So, we can say that practically this PUP is unavailable officially. But somehow it is still spreading on the web. Our research shows that it is mostly found in Italy. Well, no wonder since even the name of this program is Italian, in fact, and means “flight search” literally. However, if you did not install this PUP knowingly and on purpose, there is a good chance that you downloaded a free program from a questionable source or clicked on a corrupt third-party ad. Hundreds of thousands of computer users search the web every single day to find and install free programs or download free files (audio, movies, and books). Obviously, cyber criminals also see a high potential in this and that is why they set up more and more fake and malicious file-sharing websites. These torrent and freeware pages generally offer you questionable third-party installers instead of standalone setup executables. This means that instead of a single program, you will most likely install several additional ones.

Whenever you are installing such a bundle, you need to be extra careful and do not even go on with it unless you are perfectly aware of the whole content. Such a bundle may contain adware programs, browser hijackers, Trojans, and other PUPs as well. These infections can expose you to harmful third-party content and cause other system security related issues as well. No wonder why we keep emphasizing that you should stay away from suspicious websites, including file-sharing, gaming, dating, and porn-related pages, as well as clicking on random third-party ads. Right now the only way for you to make sure that your computer is safe again is to delete CercaVoli and scan your system with a reliable online malware scanner to find out what else you need to eliminate from your PC.

This useless PUP opens its window when you start it up and loads its website that is supposed to let you search flight deals. It is also possible that this program sets up scheduled tasks so that it will run in the background without your knowledge. It is possible that this PUP used to be beneficial but you need to move on when you realize that it has stopped working. You can always find a new tool or a reliable website if you need to check flight deals frequently. But why would you leave such a useless application on board? We believe that you should remove CercaVoli as soon as possible and take care of all other potentially harmful programs as well.

Yet another bad piece of news is that it is not that simple to eliminate this PUP because you cannot uninstall it by using its uninstaller in Control Panel. Thus, you are left with manual removal. You can delete all related registry keys, folders, and files if you follow our guide below this article. Although this PUP is far from the worst that can infiltrate your system, you need to realize that it may have come along with other, more serious threats on board. Therefore, it is important that you protect your PC more efficiently and install a reliable anti-malware program (e.g., SpyHunter). Also, do not forget to update all your drivers and programs to keep cyber criminals away from your files and operating system.
