Avboost is a questionable program that claims to be a desktop manager with certain functions that you may think to be useful. In fact, this tool calls itself “The world's number one utility software,” which we consider a wee-bit far-fetched; mostly, after our thorough testing. We have labeled this software as a potentially unwanted program (PUP) because it may work just fine as promised but its functions are really very simple and it may enter your system with adware programs. If you do not want to be disturbed by a flow of potentially unreliable third-party ads and promotional websites while trying to peacefully surf the web, we suggest that you do not hesitate to remove Avboost from your computer.

This PUP has a promotion webpage at avboost.club that we can call a professional-looking page. However, it has very limited content but this is not the worst; the download function does not work at all, whichever link or button you try to click on. Now, this is really not a good sign when you want to download a desktop manager program or any other software for that matter. In fact, this should indicate that it is time for you to delete Avboost if you may have already installed it either knowingly or accidentally.

Unfortunately, this is not the only issue regarding this PUP. You may wonder how it is possible at all if a program cannot be downloaded from its own website, it still spreads on the web and lots of users find it on their system. The answer is simple. This PUP can be found in free software bundles. However, installing this version would mean that you also install adware programs along with this useless software. Hundreds of thousands of computer users search the web every day for free software, for example; that is why the net is filled with fake and malicious file-sharing websites. Cyber criminals know exactly how to create bait and lure unsuspecting users to their sites. The main problem is that you may not even download a working copy of your targeted program but, instead, a hardly working one along with adware programs, browser hijackers, Trojans, and more. Such suspicious websites mainly promote questionable third-party installers that you should not trust at all.

But you can also drop a bundle containing this PUP when you click on unsafe third-party ads or fake content (download buttons and navigational buttons). This can happen either when there is an adware program operating in the background or when you end up on suspicious websites filled with questionable third-party content, including online gambling, file-sharing, and gaming pages. It is important that you keep your system clean because when you let an adware program or a browser hijacker on board, these infections may expose you to questionable web content that could cause further virtual security issues for you. Therefore, we advise you to find a good malware scanner that can detect all possible threat sources on your computer after you delete Avboost.

This useless program is supposed to be a desktop manager that allows you to take screenshots, manage brightness and volume, turn WiFi on and off, and start a timer. This PUP has a very basic black GUI with a few values to set and that is all. You can easily perform these settings using other tools, your keyboard, and your monitor’s menu. You really do not need such a low-quality program to do these for you. Although, we cannot claim that this PUP has malicious intentions because it seems to work just fine but we do not encourage you to keep such a useless application that may bring more serious threats on board. If not for other reasons, we believe that this should be enough for you to want to remove Avboost from your system. Still, it is all up to you what you decide to do with this PUP.

If you want to put an end to this PUP, it is not enough to run its uninstaller via Control Panel because that will only eliminate this software and leaves the related adware programs on board, which actually cause the system security threats. Therefore, we have included instructions regarding the adware infections, too. It is not difficult to perform these steps at all but be prepared for random-name folders and files when you try to identify them. If you would like to safeguard your system with a professional tool, we advise you to install a reliable anti-malware program like SpyHunter. This security software can automatically detect and eliminate all potential threats that may reside on your computer or want to infiltrate your system.
