Despite its reliable name, AntiTroy is not a trustworthy application at all. It is a creation of hackers and it cannot make an effective system scan, and even if it tries to convince you that it is able to start a security scan of your computer, the truth is that the final results do not show real information about the state of your machine. If you happen to see messages on your desktop displayed by this application, you have to know that this program has managed to get into the system by deception. Using a compromised web page which seems to contain an intriguing video, the attacker pretends that you need to install a video codec in order to watch the video. However, immediately after you agree to install the codec, AntiTroy is transferred to your PC, and it does not give you even the slightest idea about its intentions.
After the infection is transferred to your PC, it hides deep into the system and starts showing pop-up warnings. All of them claim that there are many system errors, and they can cause serious problems. To be even more convincing, the attacker starts a system scan and its results confirm the existence of many infected files. The application really tries to convince you that it is a reliable AV tool, and it can detect any threats on your computer. It wants to make you believe that you have to remove all the infected files as soon as possible but you can do that only with the help of its registered edition.
Do not be tricked by any of these alerts and remember that they are shown only to mislead you into paying for a bogus application. This tool is not genuine, and it cannot detect any viruses. On the contrary, it can even make it possible for other infections to enter your PC. To protect your machine you have to remove the intruder immediately.
