Advance PC Protector is a PC optimization tool you may decide to install one day. It is promoted as an “all-in-one PC optimization and PC protection utility,” but you should not hurry to install it on your computer even though this tool looks very beneficial because it is not exactly what it seems to be. It has been classified as a potentially unwanted program by our researchers. First, they have observed that it might be spread bundled, which is definitely not how fully reliable software acts. Second, it leaves leftovers once uninstalled by the user through Control Panel. What is more, a bunch of users do not know that the application they have installed on their computers is not free. That is, it will not act beneficially unless you pay for the activation key and then enter it in the field to upgrade the program. Even though Advance PC Protector is not considered real malware, you should purchase another program instead because we cannot confirm that this PC optimization tool will considerably improve your system performance. Specialists say that a bunch of similar optimization tools can detect only minor issues. It is very likely that this potentially unwanted program is one of them.

Advance PC Protector will scan your system once installed. You will see the number of malicious applications, junk files, system cache, and Internet privacy issues listed for you once the application finishes scanning the computer. Even though it shows scan results, it does not mean that it will fix those issues for you. If you click the Fix Now button right after the scan, a window asking you to register your Advance PC Protector will be displayed to you. To do this, you need to enter an active license key and then click the Activate License Key button. The price of the annual license costs 39.99 USD, but if you wish to use the tool for 18 months, you will have to pay 49.99 USD. A cheaper option would be to pay a license for 6 months that costs 24.99 USD. Research has clearly shown that the diagnostic version of Advance PC Protector can only detect issues that are not serious. The presence of browsing cookies, junk files, and some untrustworthy applications is all what Advance PC Protector can detect on users’ computers. We cannot promise that it will become extremely beneficial once you upgrade it, so we do not recommend investing in this application. Delete Advance PC Protector right away if you are not going to purchase its license – it will show irritating pop-ups to inform you that you have not upgraded the program and have not fixed any issues on your computer yet. These annoying pop-ups might considerably diminish your web browsing experience.

There is one more reason specialists decided to categorize Advance PC Protector as a potentially unwanted application. It has turned out that it might be distributed bundled with similar programs as well. Potentially unwanted applications and other untrustworthy programs are often distributed bundled. Even though there is nothing new about that, many people still agree with the installation of undesirable software by simply installing new software downloaded from the web hastily. No doubt this distribution method will be used to spread applications in the future as well, so you must be very cautious. Potentially unwanted applications similar to Advance PC Protector seem to be fully reliable software at first glance, which explains why so many users still find undesirable software installed on their computers without their knowledge these days. You can change this by installing a reputable security tool on your computer. It will detect untrustworthy software and will not allow it to enter for you.

It is not the end of the world if Advance PC Protector has been installed on your system without your knowledge, or you have installed it consciously and only then found out that it is a typical potentially unwanted program that will not act beneficially until you upgrade it. It is because this program can be removed quite easily using Control Panel. Unfortunately, not all its components will be erased. You will also have to take care of some leftovers. You can delete them either manually or automatically. Without a doubt, it would be easier to use an antimalware scanner to clean the system.
