Polska Policja virus is a ransomware infection that targets users in Poland. It infects the system surreptitiously and then blocks the users desktop by displaying a fraudulent security message. According to Polska Policja virus, the message is sent by the Polish police office to inform the user that he has violated the laws by performing various illegal activities online. By displaying such notification Polska Policja virus wants to convince the user to pay the so-called “fine” that is actually a ransom fee. This infection has nothing in common with the Polish police authorities.

This ransomware infection is a part of a huge Ukash Virus group, and it shares the same interface with Türk Polisi Virus, Ministere de l’Interieur virus, Eenheid Voor de Bestrijding Cybercrime virus and so on. Naturally, the messages are displayed in the corresponding languages, but other than that the main principle is the same – Polska Policja virus and other Ukash Virus infections lock down your computer and then expect you to pay the fee, after you read the following message:

Kwota grzywny wynosi zl 200. Platnosc musi byc dokonana w ciagu 48 godzin po ujawnieniu naruszenia.

If you do not, your computer will remain locked and you will be subject to legal prosecution, facing a probable 4-year-old imprisonment sentence. Follow the instructions below to get rid of Polska Policja virus for good:

For Windows Vista & Windows 7

Restart your computer.
Press F8 repeatedly before Windows logo shows up.
Select Safe Mode with Networking and press Enter
Go here http://www.411-spyware.com/download-sph and download SpyHunter.

For Windows XP

Restart or turn on your computer.
When BIOS screen loads, tap F8 repeatedly. If Windows logo appears, restart the computer and try again.
