Clean PC Master masquerades as a computer-cleaning, optimization, and anti-malware program, but the truth is that it is just another scam program that you ought to remove. Clean PC Master falls into the category of potentially unwanted programs because it performs none of the claimed functions and uses deceitful methods to pressure you to purchase it. This application is unreliable because it is prone to crash and render fake error messages. After examining this application, we have come to the conclusion that it is utterly worthless. So we highly recommend that you read this description, provided that you have this program installed on your PC.
Let us cut to the chase and discuss how this application works. If you install Clean PC Master and scan your computer with it, then the scan will inevitably result in multiple fake issues. Our tests have shown that this application can delete files stored in folders dedicated to storing temporary files, but that is all. Note that getting rid of those files will not improve your computer’s performance although you might gain some hard drive space. However, you can you remove temporary files manually. All in all, this program’s clean function is not all that useful, but its poor functionality should be the least of your concern because this program has issues that are much more relevant.
It is claimed that Clean PC Master is also an antimalware application capable of detecting malware. However, for some reason, it cannot remove it, but it will offer you to call “Virus Removal Tech Support.” The fact of the matter is that this application has been configured to show fake malware detections and fool you into calling the fake tech support. The number 1-800-935-0823 that you are supposed to call might be premium-rate, so calling it will cost you a pretty penny. In addition to that, you have to purchase the program to gain full access to its supposed functions. However, clicking the purchase button crashes the application.
Furthermore, Clean PC Master uses another brilliant trick to force you to call its premium-rate number. It can render a fake Blue Screen of Death (BSoD) error and conveniently show you the number you are supposed to call. Take note that when you get a real BSoD, it will not show you a telephone number on a white background. And, you might be able to terminate this error message by pressing Alt+F4 because it is just a process that is set to run in the background and initiate at random. This scare tactic is being used more and more, and we have recently written about two similar applications called of Zolta Registry Cleaner and WeatherWizard. These two applications come from the same developers, but Clean PC Master is not related to them. This program comes from another developer that created Zeast PC Tuneup and One10 PC Cleaner.
However, the developer of these programs does not want to be identified. And, like its predecessors, this program does not have a dedicated distribution website. We were able to obtain a sample from a particular site, but it is not readily accessible to the general public. Therefore, it is possible that this PUP is currently being distributed using software bundles. Note that Clean PC Master should not be confused with Clean Master for PC hosted on freeware distributing websites that include Softonic.com, and Cnet.com. That is an entirely different and unrelated program.
As you can see, Clean PC Master is a deceptive application set to extort money from you. If you purchase it, you will get a non-functional tool that will continue to harass you with its fake error messages. Therefore, we encourage you to uninstall it using our guide. Take note that in addition to uninstalling this PUP via Control Panel you will also have to remove leftover files that render the BSoD error because otherwise you will continue to get this error.
