PC-BOLT
How about if we told you that there are multiple programs out there that only pretend they can help you solve your computer security-related problems? PC-BOLT is one of such applications. The main problem with such programs is that they cannot be trusted, and they might as well try to scam you, pushing you into paying money for a service that does not exist. It is obvious that you have to remove PC-BOLT from your computer; otherwise, you might suffer severe consequences. One of the biggest problems with this application is that it cannot be removed via Control Panel, but that problem can be easily solved if you check out the instructions below this description. ...
Weather Chickn
Weather Chickn is an application that should enable users to check the weather forecasts in their area. As the program seems to be quite reliable and it promises to show weather alerts, people install this piece of software on their systems without consideration. Even though the application seems to be completely harmless, we are still sure that it is not the best idea to install it and keep it on the system because it is known to be a potentially unwanted program. It is said that such programs might weaken the system’s security and even compromise a user’s privacy, so it is rather risky to keep them. ...
MyDownloadManager
MyDownloadManager is an extension working on Google Chrome browser. It seems to be quite appealing because it promises to enable users to manage their downloads directly from their browsers. To be more specific, it is said on its official website mydownloadmanager.com that users will be able to “open downloaded files, open their containing folder, cancel an ongoing operation or retry a canceled item.” We agree with users that this piece of software really seems to be beneficial. ...
WebUpdater
Do you often forget to update your programs and applications? Do you think of using WebUpdater to do this job for you? If the answer is yes, then perhaps you should think of another option because this application is considered a potentially unwanted program. A potentially unwanted program is a type of software that is not malicious, but it may have some features that could prove to be unwanted, suspicious or even harmful. Therefore, if you do not want to deal with any potential security issues, it would be for the best to remove WebUpdater from your computer right now. ...
Zoom Player
Users who want to watch videos in HD tend to install the media player called Zoom Player on their computers. In most cases, they get it from its official website zpdownload.info; however, there are also users who complain that this software has sneaked onto their computers without permission. The majority of people decide to keep this software even though they do not download it themselves because it seems to be very beneficial. Researchers who have tested Zoom Player have noticed that it advertises itself as “the most powerful, flexible, and customizable media player.” ...
SecuriDex
It is high time we discuss a recently released yet undesirable media player called SecuriDex. We have classified it as a potentially unwanted program because its developers use dishonest marketing methods to advance their selfish agenda. Therefore, we believe that you should remove this program as soon as the opportunity arises because failure to do so may result in undesirable consequences. It is not considered a malicious program, but one of its purposes is to display fictitious errors and infection warnings, then offer you to call fake tech support. The promoted tech support number may be premium toll, so it could cost you a pretty penny.
We have received information that this application first appeared on 9 March 2016, so it is relatively new. It was developed by a company known as SecuriDex LLC, but we are of the opinion that this name is not real because there is no information about this company anywhere on the web. We think that this company name is just a front for its true developers that want to remain in the shadows. This practice is becoming more and more common among malware developers.
While conducting our research, we have found that this program is currently being distributed on its dedicated download website at Securidex.com. This site claims that this application is a reliable and safe media player that is compatible with all Windows devices including tablets and phones. However, we have found most of the claims on this website to be fake, but more on that later. Another method used to disseminate this PUP is a website called Software.informer.com. This site is expected to feature all kinds of shady software. While researching potentially unwanted programs, this particular website is bound to come up, so you have to be cautious when you browse on it for software.
Now let us get to the most important part of this description which is this program’s functions. As a media player SecuriDex works rather well, but do not expect it to play 4K. Furthermore, we only know of the version for PC while the tablet and phone versions remain elusive. We were not that impressed with its video-playing capabilities and thought that this function acts as a front for something more sinister. Further research has revealed that this player has the ability to render fake errors and warnings about malware. It might display these errors in a drop-down window, or it might present a pop-up. Whatever the case may be, make sure not to fall for its tricks because these messages are set to scare and compel you to dial a premium toll number to contact tech support. There is no way of knowing whether someone will actually answer the phone, but if someone does, we doubt that you will receive genuine support. We are of the opinion that this media player’s purpose is to extort your hard-earned cash.
Thankfully, at present, SecuriDex’s error-displaying function does not work, probably because its main server is down. However, the server can go back up at any time, and this program will perform to its full potential. Nevertheless, it can play videos regardless of whether its server is up or down, but do not get your hopes up. As a media player, SecuriDex does a pretty lousy job because it is limited in the formats it can play. It looks like a cheap rip-off of Windows Media Player Classic, so we do not recommend using SecuriDex as your main player. Moreover, we suggest that you delete it from your computer to avoid those fake messages and warnings.
Since SecuriDex is not a malicious program you can keep it if you so desire, but keep in mind that you will continue to get those annoying fake warnings. So we suggest that you get another media player and remove SecuriDex. Please follow the instructions we have provided below to get rid of this app.

Easy Uninstall
Easy Uninstall is an application that we do not advise you to trust as it operates in questionable ways. During the research procedure, malware experts have noticed that the valuable features of it are obviously outweighed by the dubious and at times even invasive ones. Since the program itself is not aggressive and does not cause damage to your operating system by itself, it has been categorized as a potentially unwanted program. Like any other application that belongs to this category, it should be removed as it will not be helpful and could act in undesirable ways. ...
4zip
4zip is another application that promises to work like WinZip, which is known to be the leading Windows compression utility. If you visit the official website of 4zip, you will notice immediately that it promises to enable users to create, open, and extract files from the following archives: Zip, TAR, Gzip, and RAR. It really seems that this application does that; however, we still cannot call it trustworthy. There are several reasons for that, and we are going to present them all further in this article. ...
Hostify
Hostify is an application that promises to enable users to turn their computers into Wi-Fi hotspots easily and quickly. Even though its slogan is “Dare to share your connection,” the truth is that this application does not work as it should. In other words, users download a completely useless program. Actually, it does not matter whether they get this software from its official website hostify.lu or download it from the web because all the versions of this application do not work the way they should. In our opinion, there is no need to keep such a program installed on the system; however, you are the one who can decide what to do. ...
GoGameGo
GoGameGo is a questionable browser extension that is similar to Muzik Fury and it only seems to affect Google Chrome browsers. We have classified this tool as a potentially unwanted program (PUP) since it does not seem to cause direct security issues. But it does not mean that there are no suspicious traits this extension shows. As a matter of fact, this tool changes your home page, new tab page, and default search engine to a modified search page that offers you quick links to online game-related sites as well as a search tool. ...
