Virtumundo — AKA Virtumonde — is adware that launches annoying popup ads on your PC. Virtumundo popups pimp fake anti-spyware like SysDefender, WinFixer, and ErrorSafe. Virtumundo can also act as a keylogger, and record every keystroke you type, save this information as a DLL file (virtumundo.DLL, perhaps?), and send it to a parent site, putting your personal and financial information at risk.

Virtumundo is also known as Virtumonde.C, and “major rip-off.”

ZenoSearch is classic adware. ZenoSearch installs toolbars, ZenoSearch creates desktop shortcuts, and, most annoyingly, ZenoSearch tracks your search requests and web activity and drowns your PC screen in ZenoSearch popup ads, whether or not you’re online.

Nice.

Like most adware, you can get rid of ZenoSearch, or lose your sanity and throw your computer out the window.

ALOT Toolbar is a toolbar designed to “provide you with the information you want.”

Memo to ALOT Toolbar: there’s this little site called Google.com.

Besides ALOT Toolbar’s oversight of its competition, ALOT Toolbar may annoy you by adding itself to your browser, by launching “ALOT” of popups, and ALOT Toolbar may install “ALOT” of adware/malware onto your PC. WinSecurity Toolbar 2.1 is a Zlob.Trojan/Trojan Zlob toolbar that watches your web activity, sends this information back to its parent, and serves you popups and link ads. WinSecurity Toolbar 2.1 may also hijack your web pages, block your URL requests, and download more pests onto your computer. Signs of WinSecurity Toolbar 2.1 include wanting to throw your computer out of the window, a little yellow triangle with an exclamation mark (!) in the bottom right corner of your screen, and tons of bad porn downloaded onto your desktop.

Wait. There’s more.

During WinSecurity Toolbar 2.1’s limited-time offering, you’ll also have a difficult time manually removing WinSecurity Toolbar 2.1, as the adware toolbar will often regenerate.

Web-MediaPlayer is a media player that might drop a Trojan onto your system. You need to download Web-MediaPlayer like you need more spyware and adware on your computer.

Which is fitting, because that’s what Web-MediaPlayer does: if you download Web-MediaPlayer from Web-MediaPlayer.com, besides getting a visit from a backdoor Trojan, you may also get tons of Web-MediaPlayer popups.
