Category: Browser Hijackers is a suspicious search provider often classified as a browser hijacker. It has been developed by Polarity Technologies Ltd., a company that creates search tools on the same template. It is the author of,,, and many other legitimate-looking search providers. We do not say that is extremely malicious, but we still do not think that it is a very good idea to use it as a tool for searching the information on the web because research has shown that it might present users with the so-called modified search results, which means that we cannot promise that your web searches will be 100% safe. If you remove, you will need to set a new homepage. Make sure it is not another Polarity Technologies Ltd. product because the chances are high that it will not be fully reliable too. You can find more information about the removal provided at the end of this report.

You should find set as your new homepage only, but, according to our researchers, other versions of this browser hijacker that alter the default search tool and New Tab URL might exist too. In any event, you should not keep and use it as your default search tool because research conducted by our specialists has clearly shown that it might show modified search results. Some users do not hurry to get rid of because it makes it possible to access various third-party games-related websites, weather forecast, news, and popular websites. We do not say that this page is extremely malicious and will start downloading malware on your computer, but it would be best that you use a fully reliable search provider for your web searches, i.e. the one that does not show any sponsored links. The main problem with them is that they might redirect users straight to untrustworthy websites. Of course, not all promoted websites are untrustworthy, but, theoretically, you can land on them one day because it is not so easy to recognize these untrustworthy search results.

The presence of the so-called modified search results on the search results page is not the only thing you should know about As has been observed, it collects various details about users automatically. You can read its Privacy Policy document to find more, but, in general, it will record information about your habits, online behavior, and some technical details about your computer. The collected information might be disclosed to advertisers and advertising networks to show you targeted advertisements.

No doubt you have not set on your web browser consciously. It is more likely that it loads automatically for you because the browser you use to surf the Internet has been hijacked, i.e. its settings have been changed without your knowledge. This usually happens when users download some kind of program from an untrustworthy website and agree with the installation of an additional offer without even realizing this. There is a bunch of different untrustworthy applications that are distributed in software bundles, so if you keep downloading programs from dubious websites and installing them rather carelessly, you will soon end up with new undesirable software. We do not say that you must do all the work yourself, i.e. we do not expect you to prevent all threats from entering the system all alone. Yes, you should be more careful, but you should also not forget to install a security application on your computer. As long as you keep it active on the system, no threats could enter your system and hijack your browsers.

If you have not set as your homepage consciously, you do not like it, and you are sure you are not going to use it for searching the information, you should remove it today. You should not find its removal a complicated procedure if you use our manual removal guide. No, it is not the only removal method. You can get rid of this browser hijacker automatically too. That is, you can use an antimalware scanner instead.
