1. Launch Run (Win+R).
2. Type regedit and press Enter.
3. Clear the Value data of Values DefaultSearchProviderSuggestURL and DefaultSearchProviderInstantURL (right-click on the Value, select Modify, clean the Value data field, and click OK) located in the following directories:

• HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Google\Chrome
• HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Policies\Google\Chrome

4. Delete the entered data from the Value data field of CustomizeSearch and SearchAssistant Values (right-click on the Value, select Modify, clean Value data, and click OK). They can be found in these directories:

• HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search
• HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search

5. Move to HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.
6. Right-click on the C Value and select Delete.
7. Close the Registry Editor and press Win+E to open the Windows Explorer.
8. Locate and remove R and Registry.pol files in the following directories:

• %WINDIR%\System32\GroupPolicy\Machine
• %WINDIR%\System32\GroupPolicy\User
• %WINDIR%\SysWOW64\GroupPolicy\Machine
• %WINDIR%\SysWOW64\GroupPolicy\User

9. Delete Preferences, Secure Preferences, and Web Data files from %LocalAppData%\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default or %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default.
