Does FusionPlayer look like a good program to you? We think that this application looks user-friendly enough to make users think that it can provide them with a state-of-the-art experience. However, FusionPlayer is just a potentially unwanted program that does not even perform all its functions properly. It would be for the best to remove FusionPlayer from your computer, as this application might as well be related to various computer security threats. When you delete this program, do not forget to scan your PC with a licensed antispyware application to see whether you have gotten rid of all the unwanted files and applications.

Some users might as well think that FusionPlayer is a dangerous virus because it can pop up on your screen without any notification. However, this program is not a genuine computer infection because it requires your permission to get installed on your system. What’s more, FusionPlayer also has an official homepage that is part of the program’s distribution network. This means that it is also possible to download the application from the official website and, consequently, this fact does not allow us to consider FusionPlayer a malicious infection. On the other hand, there are other ways for this program to enter target computers, and that is probably the reason some users get taken by surprise.

Potentially unwanted programs often spread around in software packages. This means that users download several programs at the same time, and they usually are not aware of that. For example, FusionPlayer could be included in a freeware setup that can be hosted on a third-party file-sharing website. You might be looking for another program that is part of the setup, without even realizing that you would be getting FusionPlayer as a two in one deal (or even three or four in one for that matter). As a result, you get a list of applications you neither need nor want. However, at the same time, it would not be wrong to say that you gave your permission to install them.

If we were to take a closer look at FusionPlayer, we would see that this media player cannot play files of any format well. For example, during our tests, we tried to play an mp3 extension file on FusionPlayer, but the playback was very poor. This is rather peculiar, especially if we take into consideration the fact that this program is promoted as a universal media player that can help you create diverse playlists. The official website at fusionplayer.com says that this program can play almost all media formats there are, and it even supports online video streams.

Unfortunately, aside from the limited functionality, FusionPlayer also exhibits other behavioral patterns that are definitely unwelcome. For example, the application displays a lot of pop-ups ads that affect your default browser. Naturally, commercial pop-ups are extremely annoying, but you should also remember that they could be used as malware distribution tools as well. Thus, now you have a useless program and potentially dangerous pop-ups on your hands. What would be your plan of action?

Needless to say, you have to remove FusionPlayer immediately, and all the pop-ups will disappear as well. Our security researchers say that manual removal via Control Panel does not take care of all the unwanted files, so you should invest in a licensed antispyware tool to get rid of all the potentially dangerous leftovers. Do what you can to protect your PC from harm.
