There seems to be a lot of similar programs out there, as our security team says Ustarts.xyz is exactly the same as stabx.xyz/, monsear.xyz, wowstart.online/, monsear.xyz/, frext.tk, and others. In fact, the infection uses one of these additional domains to redirect you through when you run a web search via Ustarts.xyz. The problem is that users may not even notice they get redirected from such domains as baserad.xyz because eventually, they land on the original Google Search page. It might seem that there is nothing suspicious about this, but if you get redirected to a third-party website before you reach your final destination, it is already a proof that your online activity is being monitored.

Of course, Ustarts.xyz cannot steal your banking logins or passwords, but this program will use tracking cookies to find out which websites you frequent and which keywords you use most often. Consequently, with your likes and preferences known, the hijacker will be able to display customized information and modified search results that will look more attractive to you, and you will feel compelled to click them. Do not ever do that because this is exactly what the browser hijacker wants from you!

Although it is not possible to remove Ustarts.xyz via Control panel, you can restore your browser settings to default and get rid of the hijacker this way. How to Delete Ustarts.xyz

Internet Explorer

1. Press Alt+T and open Internet options.
2. Click the Advanced tab and press Reset.
3. Mark the Delete personal settings option and click the Reset button.
4. Press Close.

Firefox

1. Press Alt+H and go to Troubleshooting information.
