When Safe mode can not be loader you can do this:

Follow these steps:

1. Reboot your PC and start pressing F8 key on your keyboard.
2. You should see Windows Advanced Startup menu.
3. Use arrow keys and select “Safe Mode With Command Prompt” then press Enter.
4. When Windows loads, you’ll see Command prompt Window.
5. Type explorer.exe there and press Enter. This will show your Desktop.
6. Click on Start, then choose Run, type rstrui and click OK button.
7. This will open “System Restore” application to you. Please restore your computer’s settings to two or three days back when your computer was still not infected.
8. When System Restore is finished, please restart your computer, and you should be able to see your Desktop now.

Then you just have to download Spyware remover and remove inactive infection files that can start up and any point.

WARNING.... I have just been infected with the latest version (according to the PC repair shop) of the Metropolitan Ukash Virus. As before it has locked my PC with the screen dump that prevents all other activity - the trouble is you cannot even boot the PC in any safe mode! Thus impossible to apply any cleaner or malware program. The PC shop have effectivley given up saying the infection is terminal (they have experienced and rectified previous versions of this virus.) Does anyone out there have a different view?
