I could delete the file to to the trash bin but not the shield. moved the shield to the desktop. Reboot - and as others have said quickly delete the shield to the trash bin and empty the trash bin before your system if fully up. I didn't, although not a bad idea, reboot in safe mode, but none the less it's gone for the moment - will see in the a.m. two hours later – go to my documents, tools, show hidden files and folders, and there I found the 8 digit file with the shield.
