WiniFighter screenshot WiniFighter is fake antivirus software after your wallet. WiniFighter plays the usual scareware games: WiniFighter mimics scanning your system for threats, and — surprise! — tells you you’re infected with badware you never heard of, that only WiniFighter can remove. Wow, it’s so convenient that WiniFighter just shows up on your machine, lets you know that you’ve got obscure Trojans on your computer that only WiniFighter can get rid of, for around $50.

Less convenient? If you don’t want to buy the “full” version of WiniFighter, WiniFighter launches loads of WiniFighter popups, fools with your security settings, and blocks you from uninstalling WiniFighter. Yep, WiniFighter creates some randomly named files, to make it extra hard to get rid of WiniFighter. It’s like a salesman showing up on your doorstep, and, though you’ve said, “No, thanks,” he keeps knocking, peeping through your windows, and ruining your locks then telling you that you need the locks he happens to be selling.
