Trojan-Mailer.Win32.Spambot is a “Trojan” that appears in popups by scareware Spyware and Privacy Control System. This Trojan-Mailer.Win32.Spambot popup reads:

“Subject: Trojan-Mailer.Win32.Spambot; Description: This Trojan sends email spam to your address book; Result: Threat blocked; Recommended: Make a full scan of your computer… Stop sending and remove spambot.”

If you see this Trojan-Mailer.Win32.Spambot alert, you’re not infected with Trojan-Mailer.Win32.Spambot — you’re infected with Spyware Privacy and Control System. Spyware Privacy and Control System creates false alerts to scare you into buying the “full” — or “fool”? — version of Spyware Privacy and Control System. So let me show you how to block Trojan-Mailer.Win32.Spambot alerts, and uninstall Spyware Privacy and Control System.
