Smart Protector is scamware dolled up to look like legit antispyware software. When Smart Protector is installed, it starts up with your system and automatically scans your computer for threats. Surprise! That’s when you find out you’re infected with badware you’ve never heard of, and that apparently only Smart Protector can get rid of. Don’t believe Smart Protector’s scan results, or the Smart Protector popups that follow — Smart Protector uses false positives to try and scare you into buying the “full” — or “fool” — version of its software.
The only thing Smart Protector removes is around $50 from your AmEx.
I’d rather you waste money with me in Vegas. So let me show you how to uninstall Smart Protector.
