IEDefender Threat Level:
IEDefender may be the latest rogue anti-spyware. IEDefender may popup exaggerated security alerts to try and trick you into buying IEDefender. IEDefender may have downloaded itself onto your computer through a trojan, like Zlob. IEDefender may launch when you start up Windows, and IEDefender may cause excessive popup ads that are difficult to close. IEDefender may also act as a browser helper object — or BHO — that may hijack your searches on Yahoo! and Google, and popup alerts that your computer is infected. IEDefender’s fake alerts may read:
“Google Alert!
Your computer is infected! Some of your search results were changed by spyware. You have to clean your pc and we recommend to use our ANTISPYWARE!”
That great grammar — sarcasm, yes — tells you a bit about IEDefender. Remove IEDefender, if only because IEDefender may make you want to throw your PC out the window. IEDefender.com
