Dangerous Trojan Threat Level:
Dangerous Trojan used to be a real trojan, but now you’ll see “Dangerous Trojan” advertised by rogue anti-spyware programs, such as Files Secure 2.2 and IEDefender. Rogue — or fake — antispyware programs will popup fake critical system error messages saying:
“System Error! Your system was infected by dangerous Trojan.
Note: Your critical files can be lost! Click OK to download antimalware application to clean your system! (Recommended)â€
Dangerous Trojan isn’t really what you’re infected with — you’re infected with a fake anti-spyware program that’s popping up false security alerts to scare you into buying the fake anti-spyware. Besides harassing you with this Dangerous Trojan popup, Dangerous Trojan may top your search results with a porn video. Sounds fun. Until it happens to your work PC.
Unless you like getting ripped off, do not buy the software telling you you’re infected with Dangerous Trojan.
