Active Antivir — or ActiveAntivir — plays the usual games: Active Antivir pretends to scan your system for threats, then tells you you’re infected with non-existent threats. Active Antivir may also pop up spoof system alerts, and other Active Antivir popups. If you click any of these Active Antivir pop-up ads, you’re tricked into wasting dough on the “licensed” version of Active Antivir. Even if you were infected with more badware than Active Antivir, would Active Antivir remove it?

The only thing Active Antivir removes is credit from your AmEx.
