You people are idiots "please do not change the name of the file from Rundll32.exe". Why, you like to run things that look like system processes -- it was legit, why not name it SpywareGuardRemover.exe instead of the name of a common windows component? If you've purchased software to get rid of SpywareGuard, you've just given money to the people that put it on you computer in the first place! It's just extortion.

Hi Guys and Girls,

Found this interesting link that has a standalone remover for SpywareGuard that does not get blocked from running. It is best to run it in safe mode but also quite effective in normal mode. Please note do not change the name of the file from rundll32.exe

Heres the link where you can download it (and yes spent many hours searching for this).

http://net-studio.org/application/spyware_guard.php

Good luck everyone.

Another Option!
Same as above with Superantispyware.com free download. Do it on another uninfected computer. copy Superspyware install (.exe) file to infected computer and change the name of the install file (something.exe). Run this new file and change the name of the install location t0
C:\programfile\Supertemp | Once this installation is complete, browse to that folder. I changed the name of the Superantispyware.exe file to Supertemp.exe (May not be necessary). There should also be a file in this folder named:bootsafe.exe! Run this application to restart your
computer in Safe Mode - Directory Services Repair. Once the computer restarts in this mode then browse back to the Supertemp folder and run the Supertemp.exe. It should now work and start scanning. Mine detected about 88 infections but you will specifically see the 7 or so files of spyware guard 2008. Reboot when the scan is done and you should be good to go!

We figured out how to remove it! Unfortunately, it's not as simple as downloading anti-spyware software. The program that we used was MalewareBytes, but we couldn't do anything directly. First off, we couldn't download the program directly to our PC, so we had to download it to another computer and transfer it to the infected computer via a usb stick. Then, we couldn't get MalewareBytes to install itself on the infected computer. It kept freezing up once it got to the "extracting files" part. (Renaming the program might also work - something like "Remover" instead of "MalewareBytes".) At that point, we went into the task manager and found the mbam.exe process and ended it. We had to do this several times to get MalewareBytes to install completely. Once we did this, however, the program still wouldn't run, so we had to rename it to "MBytes.bat". Mainly, you need to make sure that you've changed the .exe extension to .bat. After that, it should run for about half an hour after which it will want to restart your computer. We suggest running it two or three times to completely remove everything. It should take about half an hour each time. We had first tried to remove it manually, but it was pretty close to impossible as the deleted files would just respawn before we could delete them all. Hopefully this works for other people too.
