X-Max.net is another Zlob.Trojan/Trojan Zlob toolbar clone, designed to sell rogue anti-spyware. X-Max.net might sell fake anti-spyware with annoying popups or fake security scans. X-Max.net may also hijack your Google and Yahoo searches and replace them with “sponsored” links to adult or gambling content.

If you wanted that, you’d just hit YouPorn.com, right? So delete X-Max.net.

Emotigt Toolbar might also use annoying popups to promote rogue anti-spyware, like WinSpyKiller. Emotigt Toolbar might also top your search results with this fake message:

“Warning: possible spyware or adware infection! Click here to scan your computer for spyware and adware…”.

Unless you like getting ripped off, don’t believe Emotigt Toolbar and the products it’s pimping.

AntiSpywareUpdates may popup annoying fake scans and fake security alerts to try to scare you into buying rogue anti-spyware PerfectCleaner. This AntiSpywareUpdates popup may read:

“Warning, spyware threat has been detected on your PC.”

Despite what AntiSpywareUpdates claims, the only thing AntiSpywareUpdates and PerfectCleaner remove is money from your pockets.

Zlob.QualityCodec Trojan may install itself onto your system without your permission, through your system’s or web browser’s security holes. Once installed, Zlob.QualityCodec may open a backdoor security hole that allows anonymous attackers to control your computer, allowing this remote attacker to execute commands, install more malware, and steal your credit card and personal information. Zlob.QualityCodec may also install rogue antispyware software and create excessive of popup ads. Zlob.QualityCodec may be related to the Zlob and its family of Trojans, which includes Zlob.GoldCodec, Zlob.BrainCodec, Zlob.MediaCodec, Zlob.PornMagPass, and Zlob.iVideoCodec.
