Windows Antivirus 2008 is fake anti-spyware, just another scam dressed up as useful software.
Windows Antivirus 2008 might be a gift from a Trojan. Windows Antivirus 2008 might launch fake system alert popups. This Windows Antivirus 2008 popup is supposed to scare you into buying the fake antispyware. Windows Antivirus 2008 popups read:
“WARNING! Attack Detected.
Possible harmful action has been detected from remote host.
Windows Antivirus 2008 has detected possible harmful actions from remote computer on the network. Blaster/Sasser.variant worm behavior detected. You have to register your copy to get full protection feature set and an ability to defeat upcoming threats. To begin online registration, please click “Activate now” button below.”
Unless you like getting scammed, don’t download the software the Windows Antivirus 2008 popup recommends.
