Windows Antivirus 2008 is fake anti-spyware, just another scam dressed up as useful software.
Windows Antivirus 2008 might be a gift from a Trojan. Windows Antivirus 2008 might launch fake system alert popups. This Windows Antivirus 2008 popup is supposed to scare you into buying the fake antispyware. Windows Antivirus 2008 popups read:

Windows Antivirus 2008 has detected possible harmful actions from remote computer on the network. Blaster/Sasser.variant worm behavior detected. Unless you like getting scammed, don’t download the software the Windows Antivirus 2008 popup recommends.
