SpywareDestructor Threat Level: SpywareDestructor is a pest

SpywareDestructor screenshotSpywareDestructor is the latest rogue anti-spyware. Despite SpywareDestructor.com’s claim that SpywareDestructor is “the best antispyware ever,” it’s just fake anti-spyware up to the scam. SpywareDestructor uses a Trojan to install itself on your computer and run exaggerated “security” scans and fake system alerts to try to trick you into buying SpywareDestructor for $29.95-$59.95. This SpywareDestructor popup might read:

“Warning! Your PC is in danger of severe system security threats. Spyware may cause permanent damage to your computer. You need to register SpywareDestructor to secure your computer, continue? (Recommended)”

Hit “CANCEL,” “CANCEL,” “CANCEL” until your mouse breaks.

Unless you like getting ripped off and enjoy a SpywareDestructor popup, uninstall SpywareDestructor.
