SurfSideKick is adware that may install and automatically update itself on your PC without your permission. SurfSideKick may launch popup ads while you are online and even when you are not surfing the internet. SurfSideKick may also secretly change your Internet and web browser setting. SurfSideKick may install web browser hijacker URLSearchHook, which can redirect your searches online. SurfSideKick may come bundled with other malware and spyware.
Spyware Quake may pretend to be legitimate software for removal of spyware, but Spyware Quake may actually be installed by a trojan. Spyware Quake may attempt to trick you into buying the program via pop-up fake alerts that resemble system alerts. The trojan may be able to change Internet Explorer’s default home page and redirect your web browser to harmful web sites.
