PCPrivacyCleaner is a rogue registry cleaner, AKA fake privacy protection, that promises to clean your computer of naughty files (you know, that IE cache full of YouPorn.com files–for example). PCPrivacyCleaner may spread with trojans, or you can get duped into downloading PCPrivacyCleaner from PCPrivacyCleaner.com. Once you’ve got PCPrivacyCleaner, PCPrivacyCleaner pops up annoying messages and runs fake scans. PCPrivacyCleaner popups read:

“Warning! Your personal data is in danger. To remove privacy threats, please click “REMOVE NOW” button!”

The only thing PCPrivacyCleaner removes is $29.95 from your credit card line. Get rid of PCPrivacyCleaner, and just clear your IE history next time you’ve been having too much fun online.

I mean, next time your friend hijacks your PC and puts all that porn on it.

Privacy Commander Threat Level:

Privacy Commander, or PrivacyCommander, is a fake registry cleaner/privacy software. Like other scam-ware, Privacy Commander pops up fake error alerts to try and scare you into buying Privacy Commander.

If Privacy Commander is annoying you, the only system issue you have is Privacy Commander.

Getting rid of Privacy Commander should be as easy as selecting Start Menu > Programs > Privacy Commander > Uninstall. Privacy Commander may leave a bunch of debris behind, though, so if you want to be extra thorough, follow my instructions below on how to remove Privacy Commander for free.

Repair Registry Pro is more fake registry cleaner software. You might have downloaded Repair Registry Pro from RepairRegistryPro.com, or a Trojan installed Repair Registry Pro onto your system as an early birthday present. Repair Registry Pro probably runs exaggerated error scans and pops up fake error alerts. These Repair Registry Pro popups are supposed to scare you into buying Repair Registry Pro for about $30, from RepairRegistryPro.com. Besides trying to scam you, Repair Registry Pro can slow down your computer.
