To Tom, I had the problem and just went to system32 folder, arrange the icons accordint to modified and looked for files that had been created on the same date and time. There were close to 40. Once they were deleted in safe mode, I have had no problems with the popups.

How many trojans or viruses are named that you can find them either in the registry or in a file search. I find it hard to believe that Trojan-Spy.HTML.Bankfraud.dqâ€™s can be searched for as a file or in the registry. I have the problem and neither shows anything with Trojan-Spy.HTML.Bankfraud.dqâ€™s .
