I installed SUPER antiSpyware (free version)
and ran it thru its thing. It did remove it.
I rebooted in safe mode (just in case) and
then removed it from (add/remove) programs. The title was still there, so I removed it also and re-started again.

IT IS NOT THERE ANYMORE. whew

I just got what I believe to be a new version of total secure 2009. None of the files names match the ones here, for instance, the program was installed under the folder name 17758904, not TotalSecure2009. But it was definately Total Secure, same screens.

I tried a couple spyware removers that failed to remove the entire problem.

My fix was to go into Windows\system32\ and sort by date modified. I found a .dll that was created around the time I was infected, and last modified 30 minutes ago. I had to reboot into safe mode to be able to delete this file.

I have somehow picked up Total Secure 2009 on my home computer. I am unable now to connect to the internet. When i look at my start button, I am missing the icons for my computer, control panel, search, etc. I have tried running avast, but it only found some trojans - however, the problems still exist. So, any suggestions on how to deal with clearing this up? I am not good at computer hacking, so trying to delete the files by myself could present a problem for me. Are there any free software programmes out there that i can download on another computer and fix this?

Does anyone have a complete list of the Total Secure 2009 file names? My neighbor has a Compaq EVO desktop with Windows 2000 Professional O/S and has no restore/recovery discs or diskettes made.
I believe she may have gone to a rogue site as she plays on casino sites a lot. I had cleaned the computer of all spyware, etc and had installed Spyware Doctor and AVG however she deleted AVG and tried McAfee and it would not download properly and at this point all I know to do is to go in a manually remove the files associated with this pest as it has basically seemed to take over her internet explorer and she is completely frustrated. If anyone has any ideas as well it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Andrew Vip. when you boot the computer, hold down F8 and when prompted, go into safe mode which will stop the parasite from loading. If allowed run the scanners and delete the files in safe mode. Failing that, click yes when asked if you want to do a system restore and go to a point before you got infected. The files will still be there but you should be able to delete them. Tell us how you get on

When you boot the computer, hold down F8 and when prompted, go into safe mode which will stop the parasite which is messing with avanst from loading. run thescanners and delete the files there. Failing that, click yes when asked if you want to do a system restore and go to a date before you got infected. The infection will still be there but it shouldn't be running so scan and delete the files. Tell us how you get on.

i m very hungry. I 'll told you the incredible experience we are entered few days ago. My friend ask me to look at a diet software catched on web with a keygen; she has an xp system. I have a Vista. I try to install this keygen and suddently, all system appear messed: explore do not work anymore, windows pop up up like hell everywhere, and simply exploration of the folders appear hard to be done. So i try scan my pc with avanst. it get a troyan some where, and i think, ok i got it, but on the next boot troubles continue to afflict my system. So, i try to scan with adaware but it result my system is clean. I try, without many hopes to bring my system to a previous backup point, and, miracle, al troubles are disappeared.
On my friend's pc things arent going so nice. Her xp appear greatly messed. Few operations are possible and every ten seconds a pop up appear at center to accomplish totalsecure2009 buying.
She cannot explore anymore, enter her own folders, enter web, perform backup operations.

Thankyou for help
