Keeping up with all new tax reforms can be very confusing, but there are some tools that promise to make it all easier. TaxCenterNow Toolbar is one of them, and our research team warns that it is just another potentially unwanted program, or “PUP.” If you install this toolbar, you will be wasting valuable space on your computer that could be used up by actually beneficial and trustworthy programs. What if the toolbar’s inefficiency does not bother you? Even if you decide to ignore all of the shortcomings of this PUP, you should not keep it around because it can silently track your activity, and that is undesirable, to say the least. Do you wish to delete TaxCenterNow Toolbar but you do not know how to do it? Whether you are not ready for removal because you do not understand the reasoning behind it or you don't have the skills necessary for it, things will clear up for you if you continue reading this report.

You might be one of those users who have TaxCenterNow Toolbar downloaded along with other free programs and extensions. Is this the case? If it is, it might be important for you to install a malware scanner and check if malicious threats exist. Do NOT skip this step if you want to make sure that your operating system and browsers are malware-free. Now, if you have downloaded the PUP from its official website, taxcenternow.com/index.jhtml, or the Chrome web-store, it is highly unlikely that anything was attached to it. That being said, it cannot hurt to check, can it? Whether you are dealing with TaxCenterNow Toolbar, OnTargetYoga Toolbar, MyEasyLotto Toolbar, or any other PUP alike, you should scan your operating system. After that, you should remove every single malicious piece that is found. If you do not do that, your virtual security could be jeopardized in an extremely serious manner. For example, there are threats that can record and steal login information, and there are threats that can encrypt or even delete your personal files. Overall, you do not want to play around with malware.

Since TaxCenterNow Toolbar is meant to be all about taxes, you should become worried as soon as you discover that this toolbar presents only three links to two unique sites that are related to taxes. These sites are hrblock.com and turbotax.intuit.com. The PUP also presents links to popular sites, but they are not tax-related. Of course, the prime spot belongs to hp.myway.com/taxcenternow/ttab02chr/index.html, a search engine that represents MySearch. This tool is always represented via Mindspark interactive Network toolbars. As the tag next to the search field indicates, the results shown via the tool are “enhanced by Google,” but what does that mean? Do not expect to be routed to google.com/search as you type in your search keyword. Instead, you will be redirected to search.myaway.com, where some search results taken from the Google Search engine will be shown. The rest will be introduced by the hijacker itself, and these links could be useless and even misleading. Remember that malvertising is often used for the distribution of malware and scams! Unfortunately, TaxCenterNow Toolbar could work with advertisers by sharing personal data that is recorded by cookies, which means that the links could be falsely attractive.

You must be ready to remove TaxCenterNow Toolbar, and that is the right move according to our research team. As you can see, a guide below shows how to eliminate the toolbar manually, and the process is not complicated at all. The only thing to point out is that Internet Explorer users need to uninstall an application, whereas Chrome and Firefox users are dealing with an extension. What if you cannot or do not want to eliminate TaxCenterNow Toolbar manually? That is not a problem at all. Instead, you can install a tool that will take care of the potentially unwanted program automatically. Of course, you need to be cautious about the anti-malware program you install because you do not want to install malware by accident.
