RegGenie is an application that promises to fix different PC issues and speed up the computer. This explains why so many users download and install this piece of software on their computers. If you are one of them, you have probably already understood that this program is not going to do anything beneficial unless you upgrade it. It is up to you whether to do that or not; however, we cannot guarantee that this product will really boost the speed of your computer and fix all the issues after the upgrade. We also do not think that it is the best idea to invest in this tool because RegGenie is known to be a potentially unwanted program (PUP). This simply means that this program might act in an undesirable way.

RegGenie will immediately scan the system the moment it slithers onto the computer. It might really seem that it is capable of finding registry malware, invalid keys, empty registry keys, and many other problems; however, we still cannot trust this application fully. First of all, it seems that this program has only been created in order to extort money from users because it fixes 0 errors for free even though it usually finds a bunch of errors. Of course, users are informed that they have to buy the license in order to be able to fix all the errors:

This unregistered version fixes errors in two areas only. You must register the full version to fix your remaining errors.

Even though RegGenie is a legitimate-looking application, we doubt that its scan results can be fully trusted. Therefore, we do not recommend investing $34.95 in it. Believe us; there are many other 100% reliable tools on the web, and you should install any of them on your PC instead of RegGenie.

It is not advisable to keep this application installed because it is known that it is going to collect all kinds of details about users too. For example, it is interested in the version of OS and browsers installed on your computer, IP address or gateway of the web server, the website that helped you to reach RegGenie, the screen resolution of the computer monitor, and the so-called clickstream data. Luckily, it seems that this potentially unwanted program is not interested in personal information; however, you should still delete it if you want to be sure that your privacy is safe.

If you are not going to use RegGenie, you should definitely remove this program because it will start with Windows OS day after day. In addition, it has been observed that it creates the Task in the Windows Task Scheduler, which means that it will launch at particular intervals. Unfortunately, this also means that it will launch without your permission and you will not be able to close it. If you are sure that you are not going to use and upgrade RegGenie, you need to eliminate this program as soon as possible.

You should be very careful in the future because other programs that pretend to be very useful PC optimizers exist too. In most cases, they are available for download on various third-party web pages and torrents. It is very likely that you have not downloaded and installed RegGenie willingly too because it has been noticed that this program is distributed on third-party web pages as well. Luckily, it is quite easy to protect the system from suspicious programs. All you need to do is to install a security tool on the system and keep it there all the time. We suggest staying away from third-party sources and torrents too.

Luckily, it is easy to remove RegGenie from the system because it has an uninstaller in Control Panel. If you have never removed a program yourself, you should use the instructions you will find below this article. You can also delete this potentially unwanted program in an automatic way if you do not have time for the manual removal. Use SpyHunter for this matter – it is possible to download its free version from our website.
