Moya, I haven’t found anything under “Ms antivirus extension security center”, is this its actual name?

Hi moya, I haven’t heard of MS Antivirus Securtry Center, I”ll look right into it. Do you have any antivirus or antispyware software installed? when you boot your computer, hold down F8 and when the screen appears, select safe mode and push enter. When a system restore open appears, click no. Once safe mode it loaded, run any antiviruses scanners you have, they wont be inturuped by the infection. Once they have removed what they find, reboot normally into Windows and see if theres a difference.

The free scanners aren’t useful I can’t even remove the pop ups coming out from the task bars. Add/Remove program contains nothing. While Start-run means nothing; search was also helpless. It isn’t exactly Ms antivirus 2008 but Ms antivirus extension security center which keeps popping up. Help.

Hi Nina, have your followed the instructions on the page. What antivirus do you use. The best way to stop it is to hold F8 when you boot your computer up. Go into safe mode and when the option appears, tell it you want to do a system restore. Go to a date before you were infected. The infection will still be on there but it wont be running so be sure to do a virus scan and delte teh files before it starts up again. Tell us how you get on.
