Flowspirit is a questionable application that can increase your web traffic by visiting all kinds of websites in the background. However, these sites might not always be reliable. Therefore, we have classified this application as a potentially unwanted program, or PUP. Obviously, this PUP may not even be the most dangerous threat on your system, but we still feel that it is important to talk about it and share what we have found out. PUPs are normally not considered as a threat at all by most computer users. But this could backfire sometimes. As a matter of fact, it is never really safe to keep any application on your system that might even remotely be regarded as unreliable. We suggest that you remove Flowspirit from your computer after reading our full description. Apart from this it is also essential that you scan your system with a reliable malware scanner because it is possible that this PUP slithers onto your PC alongside malware infections. Let us tell you in more detail what we have discovered with regard to this potential threat source.

There are two main official sources where you may download the installer of this PUP. First, there is a Chinese website, spiritsoft.cn, and second, now there is an English version too at ipts.com. It is a bit suspicious for us though that when you click on the Download button, first you are redirected to a page that explains how you can install this software. The first point on this list of instructions says that you need to "Close security software" before you start to download this program because it might be flagged. Well, security tools flag certain PUPs for a reason and this could usually be enough for a security-minded user to want to delete Flowspirit or any other questionable program that is detected by anti-malware programs. But it is also possible that you did not even download this official version.

This means that you may find this PUP in malicious bundles. In other words, such a bundle may pack a number of PUPs and malicious software installers, including adware programs, Trojans, backdoors, keyloggers, fake alerts, and browser hijackers. It is possible that you end up on a suspicious website, such as a torrent, an online casino, a freeware, and a gaming page, and you download software or simply click on one of the many annoying third-party advertisements. In fact, this is how most of the unsuspecting computer users infect their system with such a bunch of possible threat sources. Little do they know that it is possible to deselect certain components of a bundle so that they are not installed with the rest. You may only know the real content if you read the license agreement carefully but this is also what the least number of users take seriously, and ignore it completely. If you are lucky, you are also offered a choice of custom installation where you could possibly choose what you want or do not want to install from the package. If you installed this bundled version, we suggest that after you finally delete Flowspirit, you run a trustworthy malware scanner to find all other questionable or downright malicious programs as well. Of course, this will not make your system clean but at least you can see what may be endangering your PC.

Flowspirit is an application that was designed to increase web traffic silently, in the background for its users by visiting all users' websites constantly. Who would not like such a tool if you are, for example, a webmaster, a blogger, or a web store? The competition is ever greater, everyone is out there to get more visitors even if these are sort of fake. Higher numbers mean higher level of success, quality, and whatever else people usually associate with it. The users of this PUP usually have the following domains: .com, .cc, .co.kr, .kaco.gdn, .live, .net, .space, .bid, .biz, .ly, .com.br, .lt, .org, .tk, .info, .io, .it, .ir, .pl, .com.cn, .ir, .eu, .mx , and more. However, how can you be sure that all the other users whose websites are visited by this tool constantly are all trustworthy? What is the guarantee that this application will not connect to potentially harmful websites, adware servers, and the like? If this happened, you could be in trouble because infections might be dropped onto your system or worse. It is a bit like you would not care what kind of site you land on and you would start clicking all over the place, including questionable third-party ads. How long could you do this without ending up on malicious websites, being scammed by criminals, or infecting your system with more serious threats? In all fairness, we need to mention that we are not saying that this PUP does such a thing on purpose or that it poses as a direct threat to your PC. It may well be a totally legitimate program without any hidden agenda. But there are certain potentials which make us believe that you should remove Flowspirit from your PC if you take your system security seriously.

Another issue with this PUP is that it is not that easy to eliminate it from your system. You cannot simply locate its uninstaller and run it via Control Panel. Therefore, we have prepared the necessary steps for you below. If you follow our instructions, you should be able to delete Flowspirit from your system without any leftovers even if you are not really an advanced user. However, if you are more for an automated method, we suggest that you employ a trustworthy anti-malware program to take care of all the security-related issues your system may encounter. SpyHunter, for example, a reliable and up-to-date malware remover that can automatically protect your PC from all existing malicious threats. The choice is in your hands.
