Category: Browser Hijackers

Although the interface of Buuble.net is unique, this browser hijacker is very similar to Jyhjyy.top and Yeabests.cc hijackers. We do not claim that all three of these search tools were created by the same company, but the similarities are undeniable. For one, all of them are using Google Custom search. Second, they promote additional links that are placed into certain categories. Finally, all of these hijackers are capable of corrupting the shortcut’s Target. None of these infections actually hijack existing search provider or homepage tools, but they manage to represent themselves upon startup due to the changes made to your browser’s Target. Even if the search tool enters with your knowledge, it is unlikely that you will be informed about the changes to the Target, and this is why it is usually classified as a browser hijacker. Deleting Buuble.net is not a difficult task, but we want to introduce you to this hijacker first.

If you have not downloaded Buuble.net from www.buuble.net/sobre/ – and it is unlikely that you have – you might have let this hijacker in via software bundles. As you might know, malicious installers exist, and they can introduce you to malicious infections. Whether or not Buuble.net enters your operating system bundled with dangerous malware depends on the installer you use, and it is difficult to predict if you will face adware, potentially unwanted programs, clandestine Trojans, or other undesirable software. If you do, of course, you need to remove it as soon as possible. We suggest removing Buuble.net because it is also classified as an undesirable piece of software. Although this tool represents the links to Facebook, Instagram, Gmail, Walmart, Netshoes, and other popular services, it is not a trustworthy search provider. In fact, you might expose yourself to unreliable and unwanted content if you use this hijacker in the same way that you would any other reputable and trusted search provider.

Buuble.net might use the credentials of Google, but it does not actually showcase the same search results that you would see using google.com or google.com.br (note that the hijacker is primarily targeted at those living in Brazil). Using HTTP cookies, this hijacker will determine the content you are interested in. This information might be shared with third-party advertisers, and this kind of communication is most likely to be based on a monetary gain. Using the information gathered by HTTP cookies, specific links and ads will be mixed in with the search results that you will see after entering a search query into the provided “Google Custom Search” box. Although you are likely to see which links represent ads, as the “Ads” section should be separated, you need to be careful when interacting with any of the links. We do not advise interacting with ads because additional cookies could be installed – and they could be unreliable – and unknown parties could start spying on you. This is one of the reasons to remove Buuble.net as well.

Do you have experience modifying the Targets of your browsers? Do not worry if you are inexperienced because the guide below makes it very easy for you to make all the changes that are necessary. The only thing you need to keep in mind is that if you have multiple shortcuts for your infected browser (e.g., on the Desktop and Taskbar), you might have to modify every single one of them individually. After you clean your browsers and remove Buuble.net, you need to scan your operating system. We recommend doing that after restarting your computer. Hopefully, you will not detect any threats, but if you do, you MUST erase them immediately. If you have downloaded the reliable scanner available from this page, you can upgrade it to work as an automated malware remover that will reliably clean your PC within a few minutes. If you decide to eradicate all threats manually, make sure you approach every single threat found individually.

How to delete Buuble.net

  1. Right-click the infected browser’s shortcut and choose Properties.
  2. Click the Shortcut tab and then find the Target entry.
  3. Find the URL of the hijacker (usually after iexplore.exe”, chrome.exe”, or firefox.exe"), remove it, and click OK.
  4. Scan your PC with a trusted malware scanner to see if your PC is now clean.

N.B. If you want to keep your operating system free of malicious infections, you need to secure it appropriately, and we suggest implementing reliable security software without further delay.
