We do not claim that all three of these search tools were created by the same company, but the similarities are undeniable. For one, all of them are using Google Custom search. Second, they promote additional links that are placed into certain categories. Finally, all of these hijackers are capable of corrupting the shortcut’s Target. None of these infections actually hijack existing search provider or homepage tools, but they manage to represent themselves upon startup due to the changes made to your browser’s Target.
