If you see annoying parenting-related advertisements popping up on your desktop, then your computer probably got infected with BabyBrowse. We have analyzed this program and recommend that you remove it from your PC as soon as possible. We have concluded that this program is malicious due to its distribution methods and the content that it promotes because this program can get your computer infected with even more malware. Not only that, but it is also likely to promote scam websites that try to extort money from you. Therefore, online security is very important, and if you do not have an antimalware application, then we suggest that you get one. At any rate, we have prepared a short description of this program, so keep reading to find out more.

We want to make you aware of the fact that this application is not unique as it has many clone applications that work in a similar manner. The long list of BabyBrowse’s clones includes BabyMegs, Flexible Family, Diet Bright, Diet Interactive, and many more and, rest assured, there will be more for these programs to come since we currently we get at least several of them a day. Indeed, the company responsible for releasing this application is hard at work and until recently we did not know it. However, we have discovered that the company responsible for releasing all these applications is called MDMExclusives/MyDailyMoment which is a trademark of Flatiron Media, LLC. As far as we know, this company is based in New York, New York, USA and its primary field of expertise is online marketing and advertising. However, we do not hold this company in high regard since its software is just plain adware.

While researching this pesky adware, we found that, like its predecessors, it is promoted with the help of other adware that features links to Babybrowse.com — its main website. Also, like its clones, this program is also promoted using browser hijackers — search engines that hijack a browser’s homepage and display shady third-party promotions in their search results. Some of BabyBrowse’s clones come bundled with other usually legitimate applications that are hosted on questionable software-distributing websites, but we have yet to find this particular program bundled with other software. Nevertheless, our research has shown that this application featured on its main website Babybrowse.com comes in an InstallCore installer, an installer that comes with bundled software by default. When tested BabyBrowse this installer got MyPcBackUp on the test computer and this particular program is regarded as potentially unwanted and you should uninstall it as well. However, InstallCore might also come with different PUPs and even adware, but MyPcBackUp is a program that we come across most often.

Even though this application falls into the category of ad-supported programs often referred to as adware, it is far from being only supported by by them. BabyBrowse’s only function is to subject you to promotional links and nothing more. Once you install this application, it will immediately spring into action and start displaying ads. It has a GUI window that loads one website and opens Internet Explorer to load another. This particular program is centered on parenting-related websites. The GUI window usually loads Thebump.com while Internet Explorer loads sites such as http://reg.coolsavings.com/rd_p?p=351718&t=24725&c=&a=1636&uid=1020bf6758ddb47282484992e8d17f which asks you to enter your email address to get free samples of baby products. As well as http://savings-galleria.com/?agent_ID=202081&campaign_ID=6389 that shows various ads regarding insurance, travel, credit card offers, education, and so on. However, the links do not work. It can load other websites, such as http://homeincomenews.org/index.php?a=46&s1=1271#.Vx_ixbvmrcs and https://thrivemarket.com/moms?utm_source=Coreg&utm_medium=Lexicon&utm_campaign=240156&lex_click_id=339874707&utm_content=1271- and these are legitimate websites that feature not malicious traits. However, based on our experience with this type of adware we are positive that it can promote malicious content as is the case with Underground Coupon, another of BabyBrowse’s clones.

In conclusion, apart from displaying parenting-related advertisements, this program does not do anything else. Our analysis has shown that this program’s ads are currently safe, but this may change at any moment, so due to this program’s potential to promote malware and other dangerous content we recommend that you remove it and its accompanying software from your computer using our instructions.
