Spyware Protect 2009 is just more scamware, disguised as antispyware software.
You probably got infected with Spyware Protect 2009 through Conficker, the headline-making worm that’s infected millions of PCs. Even if you see through the scam, you’re sanity is threatened by Spyware Protect 2009 popups.
Before you set fire to your PC to stop Spyware Protect 2009 popups, you can remove Spyware Protect 2009 for free with my instructions below. However, if you have SpywareProtect2009, you may also have Conficker worm. Use this eye chart to see if you have Conficker worm. Let me show you how to uninstall Crusader Antivirus.
Adio Registry Optimizer
Adio Registry Optimizer, or AdioRegistryOptimizer, is another fake registry application. Like other scareware, Adio Registry Optimizer launches loads of spoof system alerts to scare you into wasting dough on Adio Registry Optimizer.
If you get any “system alerts” courtesy Adio Registry Optimizer, the only system issue you have is Adio Registry Optimizer.
I’ll show you how to uninstall Adio Registry Optimizer for free.
Worm.Fontra.F
Worm.Fontra.F — dubbed “W32/Fontra-F” by Sophos, “Virus.Win32.Fontra.c” by Kaspersky and F-Secure, “W32/Vbbot” by Mcafee, and “Worm/Delf.ATB” by Grisoft — is a worm that spreads through folders connected with file-sharing apps, like BearShare or Limewire. The worm sneaks into these shared folders by replacing the folders’ media files with its own zip archive — without changing these media files’ names.
The only way to tell if you’re infected with Worm.Fontra.F may be the inability to play Beyonce’s latest single.
In which case, you may want to thank Worm.Fontra.F.
Spyware Destroyer
Spyware Destroyer is another fake anti-spyware program, not to be confused with legit software X-Con Spyware Destroyer. How can you tell the two apart? X-Con Spyware Destroyer looks like this. The fake Spyware Destroyer looks like this. X-Con Spyware Destroyer presumably works. Spyware Destroyer likely loads you with popups while running fancy, fake system scans, to try and trick you into buying the “full” version of Spyware Destroyer.
Let me show you how to uninstall Spyware Destroyer.
Backdoor.IEbooot.brr

Cutwail
Cutwail — AKA Trojan.Downloader.Cutwail — is a backdoor Trojan that spies on you, logging every keystroke you type, and sending this info to a hacker. Cutwail slips into your system via a file-sharing network, then nestles into your system using root kit techniques. The Trojan might try to connect to servers to download more malware onto your PC. Ultimately, Cutwail can allow a hacker to control your computer.
Unless you bought your computer hoping it’d become part of a hacker’s botnet, remove Cutwail.
