Yupper it works. However, If it exists on a laptop remove the battery first and plug in the ac. With the batter in the computer does not go into a full cold boot state. the program may come right back on again otherwise as it did for me. Second time was the charm.
Might consider deleting every instance of the program that may be in the recycle bin before re-booting

I looked and looked for sites with instructions for removing antivirus 2010. It seemed a number of them were bogus themselves. This one looked legit but since the registry keys scrolled and couldn’t be printed I thought I’d try something else first. Malwarebytes.org took care of it. Note: when downloading are saving, rename the file otherwise antivirus2010 halt it’s running. A scan and infected file delete later and I’m running fine again. I also made sure all my real antivirus was updated once I got system fixed.

I have to reinstall and repair windows to get logged on, then I can’t even get to the internet or the start menu. Antivirus has my task manager CPU usage around 100% and it takes for ever to bring anything up. What do I do?

i cant find any of these registry keys or processes and i deffidently have the 2010 virus.please help me out

On my PC, it seems it disabled all forms of: Antivirus, Spyware scanners, system restore and chkdsk. Plus it won’t allow me to visit any websites dealing with the forementioned. I’m going to try doing it manually

my granddaughter was playing dress up with the dolls clothes when she told me she broke the computer.i told her don’t worry a rat jumped into my pc and i was gonna get rid of it. It took 1 whole day of searching and trying with no progress. I typed anti virus 2010 into bing and used your info. Ten minutes later I was free and clear from this distuctive lil monster.That kind of activity from a company on a website should be illeagal.Thanks very much for your help.

One more thing, why hasn’t anyone gone after the person responsible for this. They have a website demanding money from us, isn’t that connected to a server, a bank account, A PERSON! Kinda easy to track if you are Homeland Security! What a f*ck’n joke. And I thought Cops were worthless.

I’m all for executing the responsible parties involved in writing malicious code.

I don’t have time to deal with problems in my business that have nothing to do with my clients needs.

These jackasses that create problems for the rest of us who “work for a living” need to die, straight up, put a bullet in their heads and dump the remains in a ditch. I don’t give a shit if they are 13 years old, kill them and we will all be better for it.
